Hello folks, my name is Seth Foley. I’m a husband and dad living in Arizona working 9 to 5 trying to provide a good life for my family. 20 years ago, I was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps getting ready to deploy to Iraq as part of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit. With me all those years ago, was my brother Jabbar Hicks. Jabbar is one of the baddest Marines I ever had the pleasure of serving with, and we have literally been all around this world together. Through all of those experiences, and in all the years I’ve known him, he has never ONCE asked me for help, not once. Yesterday though, that day finally came. Jabbar is in the process of buying his very first home, and it turns out that they need him to pay out of pocket for the earnest deposit, and he has already paid out of pocket for a home inspection. It’s just a little bit too much for him to handle in the timeframe he needs to secure the house, so he reached out to me to ask for a small loan to help him cover the earnest deposit. I would give this man the shirt off my back, and if I had the funds to give, they would be his in half a heartbeat. However, this last year has been devastating for my family personally. My wife and I have been trying for a third child, and in this past several months, we have gone through two miscarriages, one of which was ectopic. Needless to say, our savings went straight into medical bills. That brings me to here. I am asking anyone who is reading this to please consider donating to help my brother to get in his first home. The goal set is for the exact amount that he needs for the earnest deposit, and anything that goes above and beyond that will just serve to help him and his family settle in to his new place!!
