Hello, my name is Camila and I'm raising funds for Lucia's three kids: Miguel (15), Heidy (13) and Rafael (4).

Lucia Rodriguez and her husband died on a terrible accident on June 4, when they were both hit by a car. She died on site and her husband was seriously injured and died weeks later.

Miguel, Heidy and Rafael didn't have any close relatives who lived nearby, so they called Jennifer, who worked with their mom. Jennifer and her husband had been foster parents for the three kids since the accident.

Jennifer and her husband have a small cleaning business and Lucia was their right hand on their business. They clean houses, restaurants and hospitals. And that is how we met. Jennifer came to my house for a cleaning service and after a while, Lucia was the one who would come do the service. Until one day Jennifer came instead of Lucia and told me the terrible news that had just happened and how upside down her life changed after this. She lost her friend, her right hand and she went from being a family of 6 (4 kids) to a family of 9 (7 kids). She didn't hesitate on taking care of Miguel, Heidy and Rafael, both in a physical, economical and emotional way. She has had to go through the process of containing the kids and helping them with grief.

Lucia just had one relative on the United States who lived in Colorado, her brother. And he traveled as soon as he heard the news. But unfortunately he doesn't have the means to take care of them, and doesn't have a regular job or a regular place to live. The social workers haven't been able to give custody of the kids to him because of this. They have expressed Jennifer and her husband that if they cannot continue to be foster parents, they will likely be separated and given into adoption to three different families. They don't want that for the kids, but they also don't have the money to take care of all of them. It has been a great financial burden right now.

So that is why I offered help, so we could raise funds for them. So they can continue to take care of them until they are on their feet again.

Jennifer and her husband are really hard working family and also great people who didn't hesitate on taking care of the three kids. Please help them!
