Help Theodore Carney and his Family

Theodore Ryan Carney was born December 22, 2021 at 24 weeks, 5 days gestation weighing just 470 grams (16.5 ounces) - an amount too small to even register because it is below 500g.

From womb to world, Theo’s little life has been full of health complications and challenges but also defied odds and manifested miracles.

The doctors recommended terminating the pregnancy over and over again, as they said his chances of surviving were 0%. Jess and Ryan chose to let God ordain the days of their baby’s life and now that Theodore is here, the doctors continue to be amazed at his miraculous recovery and progress.

The Carney’s are so thankful to God for His provision in their lives so far, but this journey has taken its toll on them emotionally, physically, mentally and financially.

The journey is far from over and the stress and financial pressures remain high for their little family. From extended hospital stays for both Theo and Jess as they recover to needing to rent a condo in Toronto as well as travel expenses and time off for Ryan and Benji as they travel back and forth frequently, we want to invite you as friends and family of Ryan and Jess to continue to hold them up in prayer, but also to alleviate some of the stress by helping provide financially for them in this season.

I for one, would love to go back in a year to the doctors who predicted his death and tell those same doctors about the people who believed in his life and who prayed. I want to tell them about a God who is the life giver, and he is the one ultimately in control of every day of our lives, every breath, every heartbeat.” - Jess Carney
