Help them see their granny for the last time
Hi friends, Leora here fundraising for a family near and dear to my heart. I've been working with the parents of these two cuties remotely for the last six months supporting them as they process the trauma they experienced as refugees seeking asylum. They are the most wonderful, generous and loving humans who have endured more than one should in a lifetime. We're not asking for much-just the opportunity for them to see their beloved grandmother one last time:
Sarah and Zaza (in the photos) are refugees from Afghanistan. Sarah was two years old when she and her mom and dad fled Afghanistan as her dad was under threat because he had worked for the American military. The family was separated on the journey and finally reunited two years ago in Switzerland. Since then Zaza, her baby brother was born. Although Zaza’s birth was a joyous event, Sarah and Zaza’s mom and dad suffer physical illness and emotional trauma from their harrowing journey and continued difficulty of their unresolved asylum status.
Now the family has been granted a one-time opportunity to meet their granny, grandpa and extended family in a third country for a short visit. This is the first time that the extended family will meet Zaza and probably last time that their Granny who has cancer will see her grandchildren. Sarah and Zaza’s family is very poor. Their mother does sewing but their father is unemployed. They need funds to pay for the trip (4 tickets). Any contribution is deeply appreciated. Thank you for bringing happiness to these two beautiful children and their wonderful parents.
