Brian and Lindsay Zilly and their five children experienced a devastating loss this morning when their home was destroyed by a fire.
Fortunately, the family, their beloved dog Archie, and their bearded dragon were away from home when the fire occurred. Heartbreakingly, their family cat did not survive the fire. While they are incredibly grateful for their safety, they are now faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.
Brian and Lindsay are the kind of people who quietly make their community a better place. Brian is a devoted, hands-on dad who pours his heart into his family, coaches his sons' sports teams and is the ultimate carpool coordinator. Known for his gift of gab, he can strike up a conversation with anyone and has a unique ability to make people feel like lifelong friends.
Lindsay has an incredibly generous heart. She started a "Porch Pantry Pickup", giving families in need a simple, dignified way to access food. She always finds ways to care for others before thinking about herself. She has poured years of love and hard work into creating a beautiful garden in their yard where it has become an outdoor classroom where she teaches her children to plant, nurture, and appreciate the beauty that comes from time, care, and perseverance. It is a place where lessons are shared and family memories take root.
They are also proud parents to 5 remarkable children who each bring their own unique talents and personalities. Riley, 14, is preparing to begin her freshman year of high school and has already distinguished herself as a natural leader, soccer captain, dedicated dancer, and straight-A student. Robbie, 12, a Stranger Things enthusiast, spends his time playing the piano and drums. Lincoln, 10, is a talented multi-sport athlete who plays football, baseball, and basketball while also excelling as a mathlete. Teddy, 8, has a genuine love of learning and enjoys playing the piano. The youngest, Landon, 5, is the beloved baby of the family. A gentle soul, full of curiosity, loves Paw Patrol, climbing and keeping up with his older siblings. Together, these 5 children are now navigating the heartbreaking loss of their home while showing the same resilience, kindness, and strength that their parents have always modeled for them.
The Zilly family has spent years investing in others without expecting anything in return. This is only a small glimpse of who Brian and Lindsay are - their kindness, generosity, and love for their family and community extend far beyond what words can capture. Now, we have the opportunity to surround then with the same support they have so freely given to so many.
The funds raised will help cover urgent needs, such as replacing essential belongings and addressing any additional expenses that arise as the Zilly family works to recover.
Any support you can give will mean the world to Brian and Lindsay as they rebuild and the family is grateful for any kindness and generosity from friends, neighbors, and the community. Thank you for standing with them in their time of need.
