Who We Are

Miscarriage of Justice Canada is a federal non-profit corporation established to investigate and advocate on behalf of individuals with credible claims of wrongful conviction—particularly in serious cases not covered by other organizations such as Innocence Canada which focuses on homicide-related claims. We aim to submit applications to the newly created Miscarriage of Justice Review Commission (MJRC) and, in the interim, to the Federal Department of Justice.

• Reach incarcerated individuals without representation

• Educate the public about the causes and consequences of wrongful convictions

• Begin case reviews that could lead to exoneration
