Help the World Central Kitchen’s Ukraine Efforts
Tax deductible
Like many of you, we are saddened by the images we see of men, women, and children leaving their lives behind as a result of Russia’s attack on Ukraine and we wanted to do our part to help out. This May, Gary Solomon, Seth Bloom, and Richard Carbo are traveling to Poland/Ukraine border to help the World Central Kitchen (WCK) efforts to provide help to those that need it most. We’ll be volunteering from May 13, 2022 - May 19, 2022 in Przemysl. We’re asking our friends to help support the work of the WCK as we head out on this journey. Any donation, of any size, is helpful and very much appreciated.
All of the proceeds of our fundraising effort go directly to the World Central Kitchen and are not being used to cover other expenses.
Since the start of this invasion into Ukraine by Russia, the WCK has served more than 15.6 million meals to those in need at 2,320 distribution points, including more than 860 shelters and 40 border crossings. Their efforts, and those of so many other organizations, have been a lifeline for families who have been forced to flee their homes.
We would welcome your support for this organization as we head to assist their efforts.
Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises while working to build resilient food systems with locally led solutions. WCK has served more than 70 million fresh meals to people impacted by natural disasters and other crises around the world. WCK’s Resilience Programs strengthen food and nutrition security by training chefs and school cooks; advancing clean cooking practices; and awarding grants to farms, fisheries, and small food businesses while also providing educational and networking opportunities. Thank you.
