Help The Williams Get A Set of Wheels

Hello! My name is Chelsea and I'm the school nurse at The Leadership Academy at Como Elementary in Fort Worth, Texas. One of my student's families has recently fallen on hard times and I would love to help them.
A couple of months back, 4 siblings from my school were involved in a horrific car accident and were subsequently placed in their father's care. Fortunately for them, their father is Mr. Ivery Williams and he is the kind of father that any child would be lucky to have. He is unexpectedly but happily now the provider and caregiver of 6 children (not all biologically his, either). This new role is a full-time job in itself, as it consists of emotional and physical demands in caring for the children that are still healing from the accident. The financial aspect of this new role has been straining for him though, as he had already taken a hit from the pandemic this past year. In order to provide food and shelter for all the children, he fell behind on car payments. His car recently got repossessed just when he needed it the most. He now spends hours every day walking and riding the public metro bus just to get the children to and from school. This is no easy feat considering 2 of them are in wheelchairs and 1 is on crutches (yet they are NEVER late!).
Despite the challenges dad is facing, he has never asked anyone for help and greets everyone he meets with the warmest, most genuine spirit. When I asked him if he was ok with me starting a fundraiser, he simply gave me a hug with tears in his eyes which was all that needed to be said. Along with being a one-of-a-kind human, he is a man of God and a true role model to not only his children but to our Como community. I have witnessed him step up for his children, and now I would love for us to step up and help him get back on his feet.
All proceeds will go directly towards purchasing Mr. Ivery Williams a car and its related operating expenses (insurance, gas, maintenance, etc.). Ultimately we just want to make life easier on his family. God willing, if we meet or exceed our goals, please know that 100% of your contributions will go towards other necessities such as rent, utilities, food and clothing.
