My name is Eugénie Gleason and I am a mother and resident of Altamont, New York. I am hoping to raise funds on behalf of my dear neighbors and beloved community members, the Williams family. Rebecca is a single mother of three children Morgan, 12; Haley, 10; and Cameron, 6 and has lived in Altamont since childhood. As she was preparing to return to work when her youngest entered kindergarten in the fall of 2023, Rebecca was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer. Employment outside the home had to be put on hold as treatment for this aggressive form of cancer included a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and reparative surgery all while caring for her active and young children. It is with immeasurable gratitude that Rebecca’s family learned her cancer was in remission this fall but it was also at this time that they learned their lease wouldn’t be renewed this coming January.

Please help the Williams family with the costs of securing new housing and staying afloat while mom gets back on her feet. Housing is very limited locally but we want to do everything we can to keep the family in the area so the kids can continue going to school and growing up with the friends and community they’ve known and loved all their lives.
