Help Us Bring Our Child Home from Armenia

Hi, we’re the Wilcox family—Whitney, Tanner, and our twin boys, Gordon and Russell. We’re in the process of adopting a child with Down syndrome from Armenia, and we’re asking for your help to bring them home.

This journey started long before paperwork or passports. When Whitney was 15, her brother Beckem was born with Down syndrome—and everything changed. He became the heart of her family, and from that moment on, she felt called to be with people with disabilities.

That calling shaped her life. She worked in group homes, became a classroom aide, earned her degree in special education, helped launch an adaptive sports program, and now leads an autism parent support group.

Years ago, Whitney found the organization Reece’s Rainbow, which helps orphans with disabilities find their families. Her parents would find her crying at the computer promising that one day she would adopt a child with Down syndrome.

When we heard about 34 children with Down Syndrome waiting to be adopted in Armenia we just knew we had a child halfway across the world.

But adoption is expensive.

We’re doing everything we can to make it happen, but we can’t do it alone. Here's what the costs look like:

Adoption Agency Fees: $34,250 – $49,040

Home Study: $7,195

Airfare & Lodging: Two trips to Armenia, spanning 7 weeks
