Help the Westcott Family: John’s Stomach & Colon Cancer

Hello,

My name is Candace & I am the eldest daughter of John & Stephanie Westcott.

In September 2024, after a trip to the ER for a stomach ache, my dad (John) was diagnosed with Goblet Cell Appendix Carcinoma.

Since the diagnosis, my dad has been undergoing chemotherapy and having multiple scans/procedures done to monitor the cancer.

On Tuesday, he learned that his cancer has spread and is consuming his stomach and colon. His prognosis is not good…

My dad has always been a hardworking man who spent his life providing for our family. Due to his diagnosis and the chemotherapy treatments, he has not been well and, as a result, has not been able to work much.

Not only is my family struggling with the knowledge that his life is being cut short, my parents are also struggling financially to keep up with everyday expenses, including his treatments.

By creating this GoFundMe, I am hoping to reach people who can send some prayers to my family, and if financially able, a donation to help my family not struggle financially during this time.

When someone you love is given a death sentence way earlier than anyone anticipated, all you want is time. Time to spend with them, time to make memories that you will keep with you when they are gone, time to take extra photos, time to just be a family.

I want to spend the remaining time I have with my dad making memories rather than having him and my mom worry about making ends meet.

The light of my dad’s life, especially helping him through this dark time, is my two-year-old niece Kendall. I want her to be able to look back and have happy memories of him.
