Help the Wellards Adopt Paula from Colombia

Update*** Marlene and AJ are very close to completing the adoption process. Hopefully, Paula will be home with them before the end of the year. They still have a few adoption expenses, and then will need to travel out to Colombia to get Paula and bring her home. Any support and help is appreciated.



Please help my sister, Marlene Wellard, and her husband AJ to be able to adopt a child. They have been married for 10 years and have been through a long and difficult journey with infertility. They want so much to be parents, and I know they will be amazing parents, but having their own biological children does not seem to be the plan God has for them.

They recently connected with an agency that helps people adopt children from Colombia. It's a unique program in which the children get to come for a visit for a few weeks before the prospective parents and child both decide if adoption is a good fit. During this last December, they were able to host Paula, a beautiful and fun-loving 14-year old girl. 

Here's what Marlene wanted to share about their visit with Paula:
"We never could have imagined a child fitting in better to our family and in our hearts than Paula. She had to leave so soon and we miss her terribly. She became part of our family. We ask you now to help us in any way you can to please bring her home!"

Being a military family (AJ serves in the Army), adoption is not something that Marlene and AJ can afford on their own. The costs for adoption are substantial. Please, lets rally around them and help them and Paula have a better life and a forever family. Please consider donating and/or sharing this with others. If everything goes smoothly, Paula could be back home with the Wellards in just a few months. Anything helps!
