We need your help to bring hope and healing to lupus patients in Trinidad and Tobago. The Voice of Lupus Foundation, under the leadership of our President and Founder, Reeanna Harrilal H.B.M. (2022 Awardee of the T&T's 3rd Highest Award, The Hummingbird Gold Medal), has been a lifeline for individuals living with lupus. For years, Reeanna has generously opened her home to serve as our base of operations, located in Flamingo Crescent, Pleasantville, San Fernando. However, the limited space prevents us from providing the free medical clinic services that our community desperately needs.

Our Vision: A Dedicated Clinic and Multidisciplinary Hospital for Comprehensive Lupus Care.

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect various organs and systems in the body, requiring a multidisciplinary approach to manage its symptoms and complications. With your generous donations, we aim to purchase land and establish a free medical clinic that will offer essential services such as:

- Vision Screening: Medications like prednisone and hydroxychloroquine, commonly used to treat lupus, can cause vision problems. Regular screenings will help detect early signs of vision loss, allowing for timely intervention and treatment.

- Diabetes Testing: These medications can also increase the risk of developing diabetes or exacerbate existing diabetes. Monitoring blood sugar levels and screening for diabetes is crucial to prevent further health complications.

- High Blood Pressure Screening: Lupus patients are at an increased risk of developing hypertension, which can lead to kidney disease and cardiovascular issues. Regular screenings and management of high blood pressure are vital to maintaining overall health.
