Help the VFW Post 2470 Ottawa, IL
The Ottawa V.F.W. (Veterans of Foreign War), welcomed a new commander (Mike Gladd) on July 1, 2022. He immediately took charge and began a new management transition, but unfortunately, it was a little to late. Due to the small membership and poor management the Ottawa VFW was closed this week. This small, but proud group of Veterans are asking the public for financial assistance, to help re-open the VFW.
The VFW was founded in the early 1900’s and has been a staple in Ottawa, Illinois for many years. This facility is located at 1501 LaSalle St. in Ottawa.
The “V” as it is sometimes referred to, has always been and will continue to be open to the public. There is a full bar, with a pleasant atmosphere, a separate gaming area, a rental hall, open to the public.
These Veterans of the Halterman-Koeppe-McCarrens Post 2470 deserve Honor and Respect, plus a facility to enjoy camaraderie.
America May be battling inflation, but, Veterans have battled for our freedom for many years.
Please consider a monetary donation to help re-open the VFW Post 2470 in Ottawa, Illinois.
