Hello, My name is Marsha Grombly and I am a resident of Vernon, AZ. Last February our Vernon Fire department received a call that an elderly woman had fallen and hit her head. She lived on a steep snow-covered road on top of a mountain. The firemen tried everything they could to get to her, to no avail.
That's when the fire chief called my husband to see if they could use our snowmobiles. My husband asked what was going on and, after hearing the story, took our UTV with tracks over to assist. He was able to get everyone to the home of this woman and the firefighters were able to save her life.
After this, I knew I had to do something to get a UTV with tracks for our fire department. I have done everything I can and now need your help. I started an event called The White Mountain Festival of the Trees, and we have raised about $17,000.00. It is not enough. We need another $20,000 for the unit with tracks and a snow plow. We would love to be able to purchase a trailer as well.
I have done everything I can and now need your help. We are a 501 C3 non profit EIN # 93-2315540 ,
Registered charity ID # 31954
Next time the people they save could be your own family.
