In the Caribbean, especially here in Jamaica, accessing gender-affirming healthcare like top surgery feels like a distant dream for many Trans masculine and non-binary people. At Cari-Trans Support Group Jamaica, we believe this shouldn’t be the case.

Everyone deserves the right to feel safe in their body. Everyone deserves dignity.

Yet, because of where we live, we’re shut out of many international grants and programs. Our region is often left behind, even in spaces meant to support Trans lives. But we’re still here, surviving, dreaming, and fighting to thrive.

For many of us, this surgery isn’t cosmetic, it’s life-changing, even lifesaving. We know the mental, emotional, and physical relief it brings. But most of us will never have access without help.

This campaign is run by Cari-Trans Support Group Jamaica, a grassroots peer-led initiative made by and for Trans men, Trans masculine, and non-binary folks. We’ve supported dozens of lives through care packages, community events, therapy referrals, and gender-affirming support, but we know this is the next step we need to take.
