Meet my “Roommates”, Elliott and Brittany. Although we don’t live together anymore, that title will never go away . These two amazing humans, and their fur babies Maya and Hennessy, have been doing everything in their power to grow their family. For the last 3 years, they have been fighting for a chance to hold their little one in their arms. They recently had their IVF consult, and are very excited and hopeful about this next step. As most of us know, IVF is a very expensive infertility treatment that is not covered by their medical insurance.

 

A Little About Them: This beautiful husband and wife met each other in February, 2016. They traveled around the globe and ended up engaged in Paris, November 2017. Their goal was to travel as much as they could before settling down and starting a family, which they hoped to right after their wedding in September 2018.

Elliott is a local Fire fighter, while Brittany works in the medical field. I have never seen two people so madly in love with each other. They have shown me what it means to be in an amazing partnership and watching them go through this journey has been heartbreaking, but it has also shown me how dedicated and strong they both are.

 

Their Fertility Journey: Apart from many natural remedies and supplements, Elliott and Brittany have gone through multiple surgeries and procedures, which includes 9 IUIs. IUIs help increase the chance of pregnancy, but has a $700 price tag for each procedure which is not covered by insurance. After so many failed attempts, their last hope is in IVF.

IVF costs anywhere from $25,000-$30,000 and is not covered by medical insurance. Brittany has had the opportunity to share their story with the American Society of Reproductive Medicine in order to fight for fertility coverage in Washington state.

 

Sometimes miracles need a little help.

I have started this fundraiser in hopes to take some of the financial stress away as Elliott and Brittany continue their fight. Any Donations and Shares are beyond appreciated!
