Help the Titkemeier Family

Scott Titkemeier, proud military veteran, husband, and father, was tragically killed in a car accident on January 4, 2024. This GFM is to help his wife Jenny, who is still on active duty, with expenses primarily related to childcare and education funds, as she navigates the future.

Scott was a proud U.S. Air Force Security Forces K-9 handler, who was married to the love of his life, Jenny, together they shared two wonderful daughters, Sara Beth (10) and Emily (7). He was a proud father to his older sons, Nicholas (27) and Clayton (24) whom he loved so very much. Scott was a vibrant, humble, compassionate, selfless individual. He was funny and quick-witted, always wanting to have fun and ensure those around him were happy. He loved his family above everything, and seeing them happy was all his heart needed. Scott was a hard worker, and showed that in his dedication to his country with tours in both Korea and Iraq. After his military career, he transitioned to government contracting making life long friends at Explosive Countermeasures International and the Defense Cyber Crimes Center, until a military move brought the family to Colorado. With multiple moves as a military spouse, he pursued his passion and opened a small business, Twisted Trunk Woodworking. This allowed him to share joy to all he made projects for. Now in St Louis, he left an indelible mark on the community in his most recent work as a Peer Support Specialist at Places for People, a non-profit healthcare organization serving people with mental illness. Scott understood walking through tough times, and he was in a place to help others do that, and come out on the other side. A true fighter, Scott never quit, despite adversity, he got up and kept going, truly an inspiration. He has taught his children love and strength, independence and empathy. Scott taught those of us who had the privilege of knowing him that life is enriched every moment by the people we invite in, to teach us, to help us, to love us. His legacy is his family, his wife, and his children. Scott's wife Jenny is strong and independent, but like many, she loves and relies on her spouse. Now, she will carry on his memory in raising their daughters, and she will need a community of support.

Please consider helping by donating any amount, notably to assist with childcare and future education funds, as Jenny will still be serving our country in very demanding positions. We especially request that those who knew Scott to write about their favorite memories so that his family can lean on these as they work through their grief. In times of tremendous sorrow, smiles through tears can be a great blessing. We thank you greatly.

Eternal rest grant unto Scott, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
