That's why we're using the screening of the movie Hell's Kitty at the BUT film festival in Breda as an opportunity to raise funds for Lesvos Stray Cats Dogs NGO, an organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for stray cats and dogs on the Greek island of Lesvos.

Anyone who has ever visited Greece has probably noticed the countless stray cats wandering through the streets. At first glance, it can seem charming and even idyllic.

Unfortunately, cats in Greece are still too often seen as pests rather than companion animals. While tourists provide food during the busy summer months, those food sources disappear once the holiday season ends. Winter is especially difficult, with too little food to sustain the ever-growing stray population. On top of that, countless animals suffer from disease, injuries, traffic accidents and the lack of accessible veterinary care. Without sufficient funding, the cycle continues.

Although the situation has improved, Lesvos still faces enormous challenges. That's why we chose to support Lesvos Stray Cats Dogs NGO.

Daarom gebruiken we de vertoning van de film Hell’s Kitty op het BUT Film Festival in Breda als een kans om geld in te zamelen voor Lesvos Stray Cats Dogs NGO, een organisatie die zich inzet voor het redden en verzorgen van zwerfkatten en -honden op het Griekse eiland Lesvos.

Iedereen die ooit Griekenland heeft bezocht, heeft waarschijnlijk de talloze zwerfkatten gezien die door de straten rondlopen. Op het eerste gezicht kan dat charmant en zelfs idyllisch lijken.
