WHO ARE UYGHURS?
The Uyghurs are a Muslim Turkic ethnic minority in China. Currently the Chinese government are sending Uyghurs in concentration camps, tracking every movement and action of Uyghurs, and tearing down mosques in an effort of ethnic cleansing. Because of this many children are being orphaned and left without their parents.
WHY SHOULD YOU DONATE?
Approximately 3 million Uyghurs and other ethnic Muslims in East Turkistan (labeled as the Xinjiang province in China) are being held in Chinese concentration camps. Exacerbated conditions of life in these concentration camps are causing physical and psychological destruction for these ethnic groups. Children are forcibly removed from their homes and sent to so-called orphanage camps. These children have locked up orphanage camps like farm animals. They are completely cut off from their families, relatives, culture, and religion. Some of these children are survivors of Chinese kidnapping and emigrated to Turkey. Their parents are either arrested or have died on their way of escape.
You may not be able to rescue people in Chinese concentration camps but you can help their children - those with the most desperate need. Currently, Turkey has an abundance of refugees and enormous financial burden. We cannot solely depend on the Turkish state to take care of these children. We need empathy from each one of you. To provide improved health and social well being of these children, please donate whatever amount you can. Even as little as five dollars can make a difference in someone's life. The fund will be used for food, education, medical, and clothing needs for the orphans ONLY.
WHO IS THE RESPONSIBLE PARTY TO GIVE THE MONEY SAFELY TO THESE CHILDREN?
We are a group of Uyghur mothers who are located in the D.C. metropolitan area. We want to help these kids survive and hope to help educate them in Turkey. We are already in contact with the caretakers who are taking care of these kids with their own money. However, it's not possible to care for over 500 Uyghur Orphans with very little income of their own. So we really hope that you can help these kids.
