Help the staff of Local 44

We all know what's going on out there, and things have gotten really hard for a lot of people really fast. This is the most true for people in the hospitality industry, especially those that rely on tips to pay the bills. Their income has dropped to zero almost overnight.

Local 44 has been a West Philly community anchor for over a decade, and as of earlier this year it's owned by several long-time employees. The people who work there are good people who need  help making ends meet right now.  How many times have they taken care of you? Now it's time to take care of them.

The funds raised here will be used to defray the living expenses of Local 44 staff currently in a bad way because of the COVID-19-related industry shutdown. We're talking groceries, medications, toiletries, gas, and other day-to-day expenses. All proceeds will go directly to the workers, either as cash or in the form of groceries and other supplies.

This is the time we need to pull together as a community. I know things are tough and they are scary, but if we hang together we can weather the storm.
