Help The Smith Family with expenses. Team Milo
After much thought and several people reaching out to me, I am starting a fundraiser for Alena and Tyler. Many of you are following Milo's journey, but for those of you who do not know here it is.. Alena was 27 weeks pregnant and just not feeling well. After an appointment with her OBGYN and a few tests she was again diagnosed with Pre-eclampsia. She was immediately transferred from Clinton Memorial Hospital to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. She was hypertensive and feeling miserable. She was started on IV Magnesium and told she would not be leaving the hospital until their baby was born. The goal was 34 weeks. Well after a long week in the hospital, at just 28 weeks pregnant, the baby started having decelerations in his heartrate. I will never forget the Dr walking into Alena's room and telling her they needed to deliver NOW. Alena started sobbing and I knew immediately a long journey was about to begin! I called Tyler and started praying. June 24th Milo Paul Smith arrived at 1 pound 11 ounces and 13 inches long. They are taking things day by day. Alena has since been discharged and they are having to drive daily an hour each way to see their sweet boy. They are too humble to ask for help but I know gas and meals are taking a toll. They have medical insurance with copay and deductibles, but thank goodness they at least have insurance!! They are extremely humble and will not ask for help but so many of you have reached out and asked me about starting this for them. Thank you so much to those that have helped thus far. Please continue to pray as this is exactly what this sweet family needs.
