Hi, we’re the Shahverdians! We’ve been delivering/handing out boxes with food, water, and toiletries to those in need but will soon be unable to keep up with demand on our own. That being said, just $5 can help provide multiple meals for an individual or family. If you’d like to donate, that would be wonderful! We do plan on uploading all receipts and taking you guys with us (through social media) so you can see where your donations are going and who they’re helping! God bless you and stay safe!
*We’re aware that food banks exist, but there are a few reasons why we have decided to venture forth on our own, some of those reasons being:
- Not everyone has the means to travel to a food bank.
- Not everyone has the ability to wait for more than an hour.
- Food banks have been overrun.
- Stigma that surrounds going to a food bank.
- Fear of being in public due to recent immigration incidents, domestic violence, health concerns.
