Hello, We are Mary Beth and Jordan Sampson (formerly Mary Beth Byers). Our first year of marriage was spent on the mission field in the U.S., doing the Luke 10 model. We set out with a tiny amount of money (around $300) in our pockets and a big desire to bring Jesus to people's homes. We were on that journey for 7 months, and it was very blessed. We connected with strangers all over the country, entered many homes, prayed for people, healed the sick, and hosted shabbat dinners with them in their homes. It truly was a unique way to follow Jesus and reach the lost, but it was so rewarding and the fruit of the journey was so sweet.

Now that we are no longer on the road, we have been trying to settle in one place. Our new home is Denver. Or at least, it could be.

We attempted to settle here in Denver last summer, but ultimately were unsuccessful. In the fall, we were given shelter in other states for many months. Then, in February of this year, 2024, we decided to give Denver another try. 400 applications and around 17 interviews later, Jordan has been struggling to find a job. Mary Beth, thankfully just started a 9 week long job. We have been Doordashing and Instacarting to pay the bills we have, but it is not going to cover our medical bills this month.

Our car transmission failed last week. We have been quoted a $7000 bill because of the amount of parts that were damaged from the error of a previous mechanic.

The second part of this journey is we found out we are pregnant, and are due August 20th. We are already halfway through and excited to meet our little one. Our first payment for the midwife is due the middle of this month, April 15th. We are working very hard to make this first payment of $1000. It is no small task with our current income.

We are currently staying with friends and borrowing a car, but the car is only available for two weeks. It is urgent that we repair our car so we can commute to new jobs.

Any financial help is appreciated and amazing. Here are the breakdown of costs:

Car: $7000 (plus tax around $600)
Midwife: $4,000
Rental Car for a Few Weeks: $1000
Moving costs for a place: $2000
Bills and Prep for Baby ❤️ - $1000

Thank you all for your kindness!

-Mary Beth and Jordan Sampson

*****UPDATE***** June 24th, 2024

The Lord provided me a short term job in Colorado, and we were able to move to Kansas and be with friends and family! And things are much affordable here. Yahweh has been so gracious to us. With your help and others outside of GoFundMe, we were able to buy a car and get its tags and strut fixed, and get it road ready. We used it to move to our new temporary place in Kansas, and begin looking for jobs as we transition into this next season in life! Jordan has found 2 jobs already that he likes a lot and we are very hopeful to move into a house before Lily comes, which is HUGE! We struggled so hard to find any income in Colorado for 6 months, and here it has fallen into our laps. We were able to pay off our midwife in Colorado with your help and now we have a FREE birth clinic in Kansas. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

We still have many needs to be met as we transition, but you all have been wonderful! And God has been blessing us outside of this GoFundMe as well, which has been beautiful to see. Please join us in thanking Him when you talk to Him today, we are ever so grateful. We are going to keep the goal where it is at as we transition to the next set of needs for our growing little family, and whatever comes we will consider a blessing <3

The rest of our car needs (protection for tornado season and catalytic converter cage) - $300
Moving Costs (furniture for our room, furniture for Lily, Retrieve storage unit items from another state) - $1000
***Postpartum Time Off ***- $3000-$5000
Bills: $650
Preparations for Lily- $1000 - $1500
Rent downpayment and apps - $750-1000
Gas to get to work every month - $250
Groceries for next 2 weeks - $350

Thank you for all your help and generosity. You have helped come back home where we have been able to get jobs and get back on our feet. We look forward to what the future holds and pray we can give back financially to others in our situation one day. We are so close to being settled!!

Thank you again and God bless:
Jordan and Mary Beth Sampson
