Hi! My name is Jocelyn Ruiz and I am fundraising for my father and immediate family. My dad, Jose Ruiz (also known as Tony) is very sick in the ICU due to being septic. He is currently being treated for the infection, which started in his urine and spread to his blood. Unfortunately, due to the sepsis, multiple vital organs are not functioning properly. He is doing daily dialysis, is intubated, & is on blood pressure medication to help elevate it. As of now he is still critical and we can’t do much but wait for the infection to subside and hope his kidneys and liver begin to work again. He has been sedated all week to help his body heal. My dad is the sole provider for my mom, and we are taking it day by day. Since he is not working and each day is tentative, I’m asking for support to help aid my family with our finances at this time. I work a full time & part time job, my younger brother also works 2 jobs. We are not going to be able to work as much in the coming weeks in order to properly care for our mom, and be by my dad’s side. My dad is very loving, always willing to lend a hand to help anyone in need. Those that know my dad, love him. In many ways my dad has been a father figure for those in my life who didn’t always have one. Above all, I ask for prayers.
