"We are the Rozo Castañeda family, and we have lived in the El Tejido community for the past 9 years. On December 15, 2024, our lives changed completely when a fire destroyed our home and we lost absolutely everything.

This past year has been very difficult, full of emotional and financial challenges. However, we have not stopped fighting.

Thanks to the strength we have found as a family, we have already managed to begin the reconstruction with the first phase: the structure and the roof. Now, with humility and hope, we are asking for support to continue with the next stages:

Phase 2: floor, walls, and finishing

Final Phase: furnishing the house with the basic essentials so we can live in it again.

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to having a safe home for our family once again.

Daniela and Fabio have been our close friends for many years. When we first moved to San Gil from Bogota over twelve years ago, Fabio was one of the first people to welcome us into the community. We've seen them, with our other good friends, build the beautiful eco-community of El Tejido from nothing through faith and hard work . Then their two beautiful children, Wari and Cristal, were born. So when tragedy struck last year and their beautiful house burnt to the ground (through no fault of their own), we wanted to help in any way we could. They've been living in temporary accommodation for the last year but have finally raised enough money to start building their new home. They have made an amazing start but need more funds to finish the project. Please help, because they really deserve it!
