We are friends of Rhett and Lynzie Reynolds. Over the past year, Rhett's family has been impacted by the ravages of Cancer, which has created a number of giant challenges for the family. Rhett, Lynzie, and their three really sweet little children have faced an epic battle.

Even though the experience is terrifying in so many ways, they have modelled faith with honor, openness, joy, and courage, which has already impacted so many in the community. They have taught us to grieve openly, love our friends and families better, worry a little less, refine our priorities toward God's own, stick together through difficulty, and share real faithful joy even in the midst of our enemies who seek to steal, kill and destroy.

Most of us understand that Cancer treatment hits from all directions and impacts all areas of life. Anyone who goes through it is affected physically, financially, emotionally, relationally, socially, and SPIRITUALLY. IT IS rough. It is like a hurricane, but the Reynolds family has faced it so well. This goes deeper than just being tough or sucking it up. They pray together, real soul-felt battle prayers, they encourage others through sharing, and even through the pain and struggle, they keep showing up for others in other ways. They battle well, glorify Christ Jesus at every step, and have shown what is possible when we stick together with eternal hope.

Rhett has had very little energy and a significant amount of pain over the past year. His mobility has been affected, so his work as a super trucker has come to a halt. Time off from work due to the disabling condition is related to multiple specialty medical appointments, lab visits, scans, surgeries, fatigue, pain, wounds, recovery, and all those things put massive strains on the family as they seek to retain some normalcy for their kids. They they have been grateful to God for helping them at every step of the journey, but as his friends we see another obstacle. Even though it will take more time before Rhett regains strength to return to work, his disability benefits have stopped, placing the family in a very tight financial position. They need help from prayer and financial support as Rhett gets his legs underneath him completely.
