We are asking for support on behalf of an incredible young family in our community. The Raymers: Tennessee, her husband Hayden, and their 6-year-old son, Rocket.
On a recent morning, a hidden plumbing failure inside the walls of their home caused severe flooding throughout the downstairs, affecting nearly every room. Their living room, kitchen, dining room, closets, laundry room, bathroom, Rocket’s Bedroom and Bathroom, and even the garage were damaged, Mitigation crews had to tear out floors, walls, and cabinetry just to prevent further mold and structural damage.
This was sudden, unexpected, and financially devastating.
Although they carry homeowners insurance, their policy has a restrictive water damage clause that only covers a small fraction of what will be required to rebuild. After deductibles and limits, the Raymers have been told that the majority of the repairs and replacement of belongings will fall entirely on them. The total damage is estimated around $25,000, with insurance contributing only a small portion.
Anyone who knows Tennessee and Hayden knows they are the kind of family who shows up for others. They are active in their church, they serve where they can, they lend a hand without ever expecting anything in return, and they raise their son Rocket with kindness, faith, and a heart for helping people. Tennessee has always said that their home is their ministry, a safe place to welcome friends, family, and neighbors with love.
Right now, they are in a season where they need our help.
We believe in the power of community, and we believe in the promises of God, that He provides through His people and through His grace. The Raymer family is holding on to that hope now as they face this unexpected hardship.
If you feel led, we are asking for donations to help them cover:
• Repairs to their home
• Replacement of damaged belongings
• Temporary needs for their son Rocket
• Out-of-pocket costs insurance will not cover
• Drywall in multiple rooms
• Approximately 1,200 sq ft of flooring
• Baseboards and trim throughout the flooded areas
• One bathroom toilet and surrounding fixtures
• Damaged ceilings from water intrusion
• Interior paint and finish work
And likely more as repairs progress and hidden damage becomes visible. Contractors have explained that because water traveled under the upstairs flooring, into the ceilings, into walls, and underneath all the flooring of the main level, affected materials had to be removed to prevent mold growth, leaving large areas of the home exposed and unlivable until repairs are completed.
No amount is too small. Truly, anything helps, and everything will go directly toward getting them back on their feet. If you are unable to give financially, we ask for prayers, encouragement, and for you to share this GoFundMe so it reaches others who may be able to help.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
On behalf of Tennessee, Hayden, and Rocket, thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and for being the hands and feet of Jesus during this difficult time.
May God bless you for your kindness.
