Hi everyone, I am currently raising funds for the immigration legal fees of my family friends, the Ramirez family. They are a family of 3 who have been in the country for almost 25 years. They are now at the finish line of their journey and are applying for their green cards this year. They have until August to raise the funds in order to timely file for their green cards.
Unfortunately, after 10+ years in the system, they have found themselves without representation for their immigration case. The rising costs of legal services and the head of the house's job loss have left them with few options. They need to raise the legal costs to be able to file their green card applications. This includes legal fees and administrative fees. They have searched for almost a year and have been unable to find anyone to take their case on pro bono.
Mr. and Mrs. Ramirez sell street food and regularly feed the unhoused. Their daughter works in social services for low-income families. They have two other children who are minors and citizens that depend on them financially. This family has been incredibly influential in the community. I would like to extend that support to them—anything you can give helps.
Disclaimer: For their privacy and the safety of the Ramirez family has asked me to change their name and maintain their identity confidential.
