We have finally finished our documentary “Children of Las Brisas”, which we have been filming for a decade and had its world premiere at the Sheffield Film Festival in the UK, in June 2022.
The film has also started the international film festival tour. It has been screened in France, South Korea, Brazil, French Guiana and Ireland. This November will be the North American premiere of the largest documentary festival in the US: The DOC NYC Fest.
At all the festivals we've been to, people have asked us if there's a way to help the leads and help the film reach more audiences. For this reason, we have created this Gofundme campaign in order to collect resources for the following purpose:
1.- Funds help the protagonists access education and improve their living conditions. Thanks to the film, the protagonists have been offered some opportunities to study, and it will be great to find financing to pay for their transportation and expenses.
2.- For us to promote this film properly, we need support to continue working on taking the movie to many festivals worldwide and showing it to the largest possible audience.
Currently, the production doesn’t have enough resources to continue promoting the movie in the International arena.
The film has received cinematographic reviews around the world and has won a few wars, including the SACEM Award (French Society of Authors and Composers) Jury Award for the best musical documentary of 2022 and International Documentary Festival of the Caribbean Amazon in French Guiana: Marianela Maldonado received the Jury Award for Best Direction.
We are very grateful for any help you can give us.
