Help the Powers Family Get Back on the Road

The Powers family has always been there for our community — now it’s our turn to be there for them.

Recently, the transmission on the Powers’ family car went out, leaving them with an $8,000 repair bill. This is their only vehicle that fits all six members of their family, and without it, getting to work, school, and community activities has become incredibly difficult.

Just a short time ago, they had to replace the engine in their Jeep — another $6,000 expense. After that unexpected hit, this new repair has put them in an impossible position. To make things even more challenging, the Powers family just welcomed a new baby, making reliable transportation more important than ever.

Ashley Powers has been a stay at home mom for 9 years and a full-time volunteer with the Bristol Soccer Club for of those years. There she dedicates countless hours every week organizing fundraisers, coordinating donations, and supporting local kids and families. Her husband works two jobs to try and support their family the best he can and still finds time to volunteer — mowing and maintaining the soccer fields, coaching, and lending a hand wherever he’s needed.

The Powers family gives so much of their time and energy to Bristol — now they need our help to get back on their feet. Everyone needs a little help sometimes, and this is our chance to give back to a family that has given so much to others.
