Help The Pink House Community Grow!

My name is Lauren, and I am a performing arts enthusiast based in Kigali, Rwanda. I founded The Pink House at the beginning of 2023 following my dream of having a safe welcoming space for people to practice performing arts like dance and music. I myself have a passion for music as a violinist and for dance as a ballet teacher and was able to transform the space into a welcoming venue for both.

The Pink House serves as a space for a variety of activities including music lessons, dance, orchestra rehearsals, pilates and much more. We also host a variety of events and aim to be a space where people feel welcome to be creative.

This year has also been an exciting one for me personally, welcoming my daughter Kwezi! And now that she's here, it's time to keep growing the project to expand further into the community. I am raising funds towards the next phase of the Pink House as well as cover some of our expenses we lacked in the month I was off after Kwezi was born. Any amount his helpful to keep the Pink House growing strong!

Some of the goals for 2024:

Get The Pink House more fully equipped - in both the dance and music space

Produce locally made options for dance wear for ballet students

Increase the variety of classes offered and expand into further genres

Build community for teachers of the performing arts and enable them to develop skills with trainings.

Acquire music supplies for additional classes and instrument repairs
