We’re organizing this fundraiser on behalf of our dear friends—the Parra family—who have become a meaningful and much-loved part of our community. Their time in the U.S. has been shorter than they had hoped and now we would like to rally support for our friends as they transition to their next chapter.

Daniela and Oscar have blessed our community with their loving personalities, talents and careers. Thiago, their son is a bright, thoughtful leader and a talented soccer player. As a family, they’ve always found ways to give back, quietly showing up for others with kindness and humility.

They came here to pursue a better future for their son and to build a life rooted in opportunity, safety, and service to others. And in the short time they’ve been here, they’ve done just that. They’ve worked hard, contributed meaningfully, and made deep connections.

Sadly, they’re now facing an unexpected need to return to Colombia. As they prepare for this difficult transition, we’re rallying to support them with the same generosity and care they’ve shown to so many of us.
