I met Helen and her family and heard her story. She had a brain aneurism and brain surgery in May. She can not go back to work until at least Sept. Helen has been the primary wage earner for her family and now they are falling in behind on all of their monthly bills.

After immigrating to the Ithaca area over 17yrs, ago Helen has been able to sponsor her whole family to come to the U.S. She has two children, her parents and husband who she supports through her job at Longview.

Because of your help we have been able to keep the family current on rent, utilities and car payment for this month.

Helen only has a couple of hurdles before heading back to work and hopes to return to her job at Longview in the next week or so. She will need to go back to work slowly and will take a couple of months for her paycheck to be able to cover her bills. If we can continue to help out for a couple more months that would be awesome. We all know that it takes a Village to raise a family and I am so grateful to be part of this great Village that has shown such love and care for this family. Blessings to you all! Jami
