We are the Orellana Family.

In February of 2024, our lives changed drastically. My husband, Oscar, the main breadwinner, was diagnosed with Stage 2 Colon Cancer. He has undergone multiple colonoscopies, 2 surgeries, and has been receiving immunotherapy. He has been out of work for over a year.

It has been rough while also caring for my dad with dementia and working. Our bills have been piling up, and I have been paying what I can, making payment arrangements, and asking for resources where possible. That has all run out.

Our mortgage company now wants the difference of what they had reduced our payment for the last 13 months. We will be losing our home which we fought so hard for. Nicor Gas will no longer make arrangements with us until all the back payments are paid.

We are kindly asking for help if you can. If not, we have already spoken to our boys, and we are grateful to have our health and each other. We believe and have faith that there is always sunshine after a storm.
