Help The Olive Branch for Children Tanzania
Donation protected
Hi, myself and Emma will be embarking on a trip to Tanzania this summer to volunteer with the The Olive Branch for Children charity. The charity aims to improve access to health care in remote areas of Tanzania through community-driven programs since 2008. Given our role as podiatrists we will be involved primarily with the charities Feet First program.
The Feet First Program specializes in treatment and management of wounds caused by Diabetes, Leprosy, and other Chronic Illnesses. The Feet First Program also treats traumatic wounds, caused by minor or major accidents. Additionally, the program provides treatment and/or management of lower limb problems such as arthritis, neuropathy, plantar fasciitis, and fungal infections. This program provides at-home services to ensure all patients are able to get the care needed and become healthy and active members of society again. The charity also provides a Mobile Medical Unit service as well as a Health Mamas program.
Vital Health care services are provided primarily by local workers employed through the charity. These individuals play vital roles in improving the standard of health and well-being of rural communities across the Mbeya region. The work these amazing individuals do is greatly aided by generous donations. The impact that your donation could make would be immensely appreciated and has the potential to enact positive change in someone's life. We really appreciate your support.
