The Morrissey Family is safe; they feel very lucky compared to the devastation around them in Asheville. However, their livelihood and means to support their family have been destroyed by the recent storm.

Matt is a carpenter and master craftsman. This flood has devastated the shop where he works (see photos), destroying the structure and washing away all of his tools.
