Help the Mighty Hunters get back on the road
Donation protected
Hi, we are Toby and Jasmin Kable from All Ability Sports Coaching (AASC).
The AASC team bus was unfortunately written off in May by someone who drove their vehicle into the front of our property, with the bus parked in the driveway. This bus has been servicing AASC since its commencement in 2015. AASC provides specialised training and game sense sessions for people living with a disability, focusing on experiencing true success in sport.
Our Toyota Hiace Commuter was very loved by both our family and our whole community, ensuring we could carry all the correct equipment for our sports programs, as well as provide transport for our players both locally and for our bigger representative trips away. This is important as some of the players would not be able to access our local programs and/or the representative events without our support to get them there.
Although our bus was an older model, it was very mechanically sound and was only at its half-life. It also had custom signage and was engineered to include child restraint points. Due to COVID, the market for second hand vehicles, particularly buses and vans, is quite competitive. Although we have been working with the third parties insurance company we are only being compensated a quarter of the amount needed to even buy something exactly the same as we had.
We are reaching out for support for donations to help get the Mighty Hunters Back on the road. As we are a small business we are unable to apply for grants or receive tax deductible gifts; but as you know we keep our programs as cost efficient for our players for everyone to be able to access.
We are looking at purchasing another Toyota Hiace Communter with 10-14 seats. Our current model was a 1997 commuter and we are looking at somewhere between $10-22k to replace it in todays market.
It is hard for us to reach out and ask for assistance, as we pride ourselves on being able to continually give to our community. However, we know that to be able to continue to do what we do, we need to ensure we are able to purchase another similar Toyota Hiace vehicle to meet the needs of our programs and community.
