Western North Carolina is one of the many areas facing devastating destruction right now. My beloved hometown of Asheville and Black Mountain will never be the same and my heart breaks for everyone who is experiencing loss. Many community members have unexpectedly and completely lost everything they’ve ever worked for.
The Midkiff family have lost their beloved, family home to the hurricane along with all their personal belongings. Bill and Kate were trapped under rubble due to a landslide that completely demolished every inch of their house. Both were injured. Bill was airlifted to the hospital and is still recovering with a broken neck. By god’s grace everyone is alive!
My best friend Emily's mom is an incredibly talented entrepreneur and is unable to operate her hair salon, as many of you in our community know as Kim’s Cuts.
I am setting up this GoFundMe to help take the financial burden off them with starting over. All proceeds will go directly to the family. These funds will help with bills, shelter, repurchasing belongings, and other essential needs during this time.
The Midkiff family are some of the greatest people you will meet, and I love them like my own.
