We are reaching out to our community today with heavy hearts to support one of our own. Recently, our neighbor and friend, James Meadows, tragically lost his family home to a devastating fire. For two decades, James dedicated his life to serving our country in the Army. Since retiring from the military, he has continued his commitment to public service and hard work as a professional driver for Greyhound. Whether he is navigating the highways to get travelers safely to their destinations or spending his off-hours helping neighbors with home repairs, James is a man who lives by the value of service. He is the first person to show up when someone is in need, often helping with no expectation of having the favor returned. He has spent years building our community up; now, it is our turn to help him and his family during their time of greatest need.

On Tuesday, May 5 at 3:45 am, a fire destroyed James’s home, displacing his family of four, spanning three generations: James, his wife, their son, and grandson. The family is now facing the challenge of finding temporary housing for themselves and their pets, replacing essentials, and beginning the long process of rebuilding their home. Funds raised will help cover temporary housing, provide gas money, assist with bills and daily expenses, and support the family as they work to restore stability and comfort.
