7/26/2025 Update: Hi everyone, thank you so much for helping us smash expectations. We had a great turnout on Wednesday at Electric Cool-aid and the immense virtual support that we have received throughout the week cannot be overlooked. Thank you so much everyone for everything.

We will be purchasing the school supplies next week and expect it to arrive the week before the event. Please come out to the event if you can, we would love you to see the direct impact your gift has had in the life of a child.

7/18/2025 Update: Thank you so much everyone for helping us reach this goal so early. We are thrilled to have your support and cannot wait to help provide these kids with the tools necessary to succeed in and out of the classroom.

We would like to announce that we are increasing our goal to $6,000 so that we can increase the quality and quantity of the supplies that we're providing to students. A gift of $25 dollars provides one backpack with supplies to a student.

MDCDSA is raising funds to supply 300 DC students with backpacks, and we need your help. Last year, we were able to equip over 200 DC kids with backpacks and school supplies. Now, we're trying to expand this program across DC and increase the ability of DC kids to receive the school supplies necessary to succeed at school.

This year, we want to supply 300 kids with backpacks and school supplies. Remember, a backpack is more than something that carries a child's materials for school; they help students stay engaged and informed in class. Let's work together to make sure no child goes without!
