The McKenzie family—Shawn, Brie, Zoei, and little Lilli—are facing an incredibly challenging time. Lilli, whose warm spirit and infectious smile give her family strength, was born with a serious heart condition called Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) with muscle bundle swelling. She is currently at Phoenix Children's Hospital, recovering from her major heart surgery. This procedure, a Median Sternotomy with VSD repair and muscle bundle resection, has been a difficult journey for everyone involved.

Both Shawn and Brie have been by Lilli’s side throughout her hospital stay, which means their household income is limited. They are grateful to be staying at the Ronald McDonald House, but the costs of medical bills, travel, and daily living expenses continue to add up. The 175-mile drive to the hospital makes it nearly impossible for Shawn to travel back and forth, and with bills coming due soon, the financial pressure is mounting. Shawn will return to work on November 1st, and Brie will be off until December 10th, making the next few weeks especially critical.
