Early this morning, our beloved Gerlinde Mattern passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She fought with grace, strength, and dignity, and now she is finally at peace.

Gerlinde was the heart of our family — a kind soul, a loving wife, mom, and grandmother, and she was a source of unwavering support. Her warm hugs, gentle words, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. While we are relieved she is no longer in pain, her loss leaves an emptiness we can’t put into words.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of her cremation, memorial services, medical bills as she didn’t have insurance, and to ease the financial burden on our family during this difficult time.
