Help The Lopez Family Rebuild After Roswell Flood

Hello my name is Halle Lopez. I'm starting this GoFundMe to help support my family after the Roswell flood on October 19th. My parents have lived in their home for 27 years working hard to make it a beautiful and safe space; We have many wonderful memories here. The flood was unexpected and damaged many of our essential appliances and furniture. I also lost my art studio. One of our vehicles was totaled due to the rising water levels carrying it into the road and flooding it with debris.

Saturday October 19th my family was forced to evacuate our home as water levels began to rise. We had no time to gather any of our belongings since things were escalating far too quickly. We gathered our 3 dogs and traveled to higher ground, where we became stranded until 6:00 in the morning. The following day when we returned to our home we began to assess the damages and clear out the mud. We were very blessed to have our family offer to help us clean our home.

Whatever is raised will go towards replacing the things we've lost including the refrigerator, dryer, furniture, fence, and flooring. Insurance is refusing to cover any of the damages so any help will be greatly appreciated, and if you're unable to donate if you could just spread the word.

This has been a devastating experience, but I am hopeful for the future. Thank you for reading our story.

Update: We are so appreciative of everyone who has donated their time and effort, financial assistance, and appliances. We are so overwhelmed with the love and support of our family and community. We were very blessed to have a wonderful friend who also donate a refrigerator, washer and dryer.
