Support the LG Almaden Pollinator Project!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kevin. Since 2020, I’ve been transforming a neglected stretch of vacant land along Los Gatos Almaden Road into a California native, pollinator-friendly garden that benefits the local ecosystem.

Over the course of several community volunteering events, dozens of residents have helped remove trash and ivy, spread cardboard and mulch as a sustainable weed barrier, and plant over 250 California native trees, shrubs, flowers, and grasses.
San Jose District 9 & the Town of Los Gatos have provided most of our initial funding. However, we have a ongoing planting, and maintenance costs. We’re also currently adding walking paths and informational signage to educate the public about native plant alternatives to lawns.
Previous expenses included:
- Drip irrigation system ($500)
- Plants ($900 spent so far)
- Interpretive signage ($500)
- Walking path borders ($800)
- Art trellises (painted by Union Middle students)
Ongoing Expenses Include
- Watering expenses
- Garden materials (watering cans, drip lines, tools)
- Plants
100% of your donation will go towards the materials listed above. Please help support this project so it can continue benefiting the community!
