Help the Leto Family Recover After Accident

My name is Daniel, I'm son of Marina and Djordje Leto, and I’m reaching out for the first time on behalf of my dad, George (Djordje) Leto, and our family. We’ve always tried to help others—friends, people we know, and even strangers in need. Now, we find ourselves in a position where we have no other option but to ask for help, something we never imagined we’d have to do. It’s much harder to ask than to give, but we are truly in need right now.

My father and mom are imigrant from Serbia and Russia, come here 10years ago and try to make life better and safer for my sisters and me.

Djordje ( George ) work as truck driver for last 10years ,handling this very hard, responsible and not easy job. He is always positive smile and happy person. He is head and mom is neck in our family.

Last Thursday, 7/17/2025, my dad was involved in a serious accident while driving his semi-truck. A woman driving a Toyota Rav 4 with her child in the back struck my dad’s truck, causing a major crash. Before woman crash head on my Dad Swerved to the right on the Shoulder with his quick thinking, he saved two lives but sacrificed his equipment. The woman suffered a severe spinal injury, but thankfully her child was unharmed. My dad’s truck and trailer were totaled, with multiple axles destroyed. The insurance process will take time, and whatever is recovered will have to be divided among three vehicles, towing, and cleanup costs. The true value of my dad’s truck, especially after recent investments in repairs, will never be fully covered.

Just last year, my dad recovered from cancer after surgery and treatments, which we managed to pay for ourselves by using nearly all our savings. My mom Marina Leto, has always been there for us, caring for me and my sister Lily (6), while my dad was on the road. She has experience in Human Resources and is actively applying for jobs, but so far hasn’t had any luck. Right now, we need help to cover daily necessities, housing,medical bills, and to prepare for the upcoming school year. We’re asking for support to get us through this difficult time until we can get back on our feet. Thank you for considering our family and for any help you can give.
