On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the Kovach family experienced an unimaginable tragedy when a fire quickly destroyed their home in Brockton, PA. The fire began at a neighboring home before spreading, leaving them with a total loss. They escaped with only the clothes on their backs, losing nearly all of their belongings, important documents, and beloved family pets.

Kerrie and John are loving parents, friends, and members of this community who have always been there for others in times of need. Now, their family is facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from nothing while navigating temporary housing, replacing necessities, and recovering from this heartbreaking loss. At this time, monetary donations will help most as the family currently has limited space where they are staying. Donations will go toward clothing and daily essentials, replacing identification and important documents, transportation expenses, food, and temporary living expenses as they rebuild after this devastating loss.

This fundraiser is created on behalf of Kerrie and John Kovach, and all money raised will go directly to them. Kerrie is my best friend, and my daughters are best friends with her two daughters. The Kovachs are our chosen family, the people we do life with, and their loss is felt deeply by everyone who knows them.
