Hello! 3 years ago, our world changed when Adalynn, the youngest of 3, was born with Down syndrome. We didn't realize then that this was the biggest gift we'd ever receive. We have decided to grow our family by one more, by adopting a very sweet toddler from Colombia who also has Down syndrome. We are already passionate advocates for the DS community, we are involved with therapies and doctors and schools etc. that help Addy to thrive, and we have our hearts set on adopting an older child in need who has Down syndrome. However, adoption is VERY expensive. While we are prepared for the day to day costs of having 4 kids versus 3, coming up with about 70k total in a limited time is quite a task.
