Help The Kirklands Adopt

Last year we had been praying for several months what it would look like to take in our 11 month old nephew, Julian. As God opened a door for us to take him long term, we knew we wanted to move forward and welcome him into our hearts and home!

The crazy part was that THREE years ago God told me (Monika) we would have a son named Isaiah. Ryan laughed at me because he said he’d never name his son that (HA!) but it was so clear and I always held onto that word thinking we’d have a boy someday. But when I later became pregnant with our third baby girl-- I thought maybe I heard it all wrong.

But God!

After we were praying whether or not to take in Julian and had decided to move forward in faith… we found out his middle name was ISAIAH!!! We had NO idea!! We started weeping at God’s goodness. God totally confirmed that this was the son He promised all those years ago.

So we call Him by his middle name, Isaiah, and we already feel God’s hand over his little life so much! We have been so honored to care for and raise him as our son these last 6+ months! He loves his big sisters, jumping on the trampoline, and running around with daddy!

But now we want to make official. We have agreed to an open adoption and want to finalize the details and make sure it's all legally taken care of so he's officially a member of the Kirkland family!

That's where you come in! As you know, adoption can be very expensive! We are humbly asking for donations to help pay for our lawyer/legal fees. We have our first meeting coming up, and they require the retainer to be paid in full.
