Hello, we are the King Family. We have 2 kids, ages 7 and 9, and 2 dogs. I am an office manager for a home health company, and my husband is a CDL/truck driver.

At the beginning of August, my husband turned yellow. His PSC, brought on by ulcerative colitis, had finally taken its toll on his liver. Discussions about a liver transplant had begun, but a spot found on the most recent MRI put a pause on transplant plans. During an ERCP to place a stent in his bile duct, a biopsy confirmed bile duct cancer.

In order for him to be able to handle radiation and then chemo, another procedure to place a biliary drain with a catheter was done to bring his bilirubin back down to a number that shows his liver can handle radiation and chemo. This drain has now placed him out of work. He will need to keep this drain until after radiation/chemo and hopefully the liver transplant. Our income was cut in half. I'm asking for help to get us through the next 3-6 months of bills, both medical and living costs.
